Little miss big girl

I think it's so amazing how much Cierra has grown into a little girl in the last few months. School has certainly broke her out of her shell. She's become so sociable and friendly. She still tends to be a little shy, but she will talk to someone (even if she doesn't know them) when they address her. At the beginning of the year I had to walk her to her door and wait until her teacher opened the door and she walked into her class. Well here we are almost at the end of her Kindergarten year and we have come so far. Now we have to be to school early just so she can go play on the play ground. The bigger kids are out playing for their lunch recess. She has no problem going and playing with her friends or just by herself. She loves it. I sometimes drive off and then there are the times I stay and just watch her. She seems so little to be out on that play ground playing with kids that are way bigger than her. She seems small to me, but to her she is just as big as any other kid out there.

Mopping first thing in the morning

So, I don't know how many other kids do this (I'm sure a lot), but my little CeJae is very notorious for it. While I am in the shower in the morning's he thinks he needs a drink and instead of waiting for me to get a chance to pour him some juice or milk he decides he's going to attempt to be a big boy and pour it himself. Well, he misses the cup every time and instead of coming and telling me he tries his hardest to clean it up himself (not because he's doing me a favor, but to save his own tail). It's great that he tries, but he uses my dry cloth that is usually hanging on the handle of the stove and just wipes (very lightly). By the time I get to it has already started to dry and is one huge mess because by wiping lightly he just smears it all around. So anyway this morning when I came up stairs for the first time I walk into my kitchen over by my sink and my feet are wet and sticking to my floor. Well, all I have to say is I am so glad I invested in one of those little shark steam cleaners. It truly is awesome and saves my back from a ton of aches. I don't exactly enjoy cleaning my floors in the wee hours of the morning, but it would be so much worse if I didn't have this handy little gadget. I want my little one to be independent and I guess until he is able to "hit" the cup I'll be putting my little steamer to great use.

All moved in...

It's official we are moved...YAY!!! I am so happy to be in our new, bigger place. The move went very well and I am happy to say nothing was broke or lost in our transport except a locking nut to Cierra and CeJae's bunk beds. I worried all day yesterday how the night would go because really not one of my kids know anything except the old place. I was pleasantly surprised. Cain only got up once and CeJae only woke up once for a few seconds. Cierra was done for and she crashed without being heard from. Everyone woke up in excellent moods (except mom & dad). Chad and I are very exhausted and sore. Even my hands hurt. We have been taking it pretty easy today. Chad was able to get the washer and dryer hooked up and I just unpacked a few more boxes and got my Kitchen organized the way I want it. I would have to say one of the best things about our new place is the view from our back deck. It is amazing. we are able to see all of downtown Pocatello and quite a bit of Chubbuck. The photo above is one I took this morning, but honestly it doesn't do it justice. I think it's absolutely beautiful at night with all the lights glowing below. I know this was a good choice for us and I know that we are going to love it here.

So, I think I'm gonna pack him up and ship him out....any takers?

Milestones...

Holy, can we say reaching our milestones today? First it was the Banana, and now scooting across the floor. This afternoon while Cierra was at her friends house playing and CeJae was sleeping on the couch, Chad and I were sitting on the couch reading the newspaper. Cain was in the middle of the living room floor playing with his blankets...or so we thought. Neither one of us was paying attention and well he got our attention real fast. There Cain was at the feet of Chad playing with his shoes. We couldn't believe it! He hasn't been working on trying to scoot at all, so to have him do it all on his own in no time...It was amazing! I think the best part is how he does it. He doesn't do the normal "army crawl" or even a normal scoot. He puts his head on the floor and his butt as high in the air as he can get it and then kicks off the floor with his feet. It's the cutest thing ever. Once again he's such a big boy all of a sudden.

bites of food....

Our little Cain is getting so big, so fast. It's that time already. He's been eating baby food for awhile now and is doing really well with it, but today we decided to take it a step further. He ate his first whole Banana today. He did really well. I wasn't sure how he would do with the texture or the chewing factor, but surprisingly he did excellent. He chewed when he was suppose to and made sure that he got it down to small enough pieces to swallow without gagging. I can't believe that he's already six months and is ready to eat like a big boy.

Moving day is coming

As you all know we are moving next Saturday. We have been doing the majority of our packing at night, after all the kids are in bed. That makes for some intresting comments in the morning. Last night Chad and I packed up all the pictures on the wall, the curtins, all the movies and all the video games and video game equipment. This morning when CeJae woke up he came down stairs and and the first thing he said was "what happened?" while he was saying that he was pointing to where the curtins once were located. I told him we packed them and he was okay, but then when he started looking around and noticing that the curtins wern't the only things missing he was very curious. "What happened mom? Where's pictures, mom?" The most simple things in life can make little one's feel so at home or in our case make them feel as though something just isn't right.

"Pee on water"

I think its amazing how little one's that have been talking for awhile can still make the simplest of things sound so not right. The other day we were at the store and Cierra asked if she could pick out a box of Capri Sun's. I said yes and she chose the Raging water flavors. Well when we got home CeJae came up to Chad and I in the kitchen and kept asking for something. Neither one of us could understand him or figure out what he was asking for. We called Cierra in to see if she could make out what he was saying and in no time she said "he's saying Capri Water" well when Chad and I listened we finally heard "Pee on water". Well needless to say it's stuck and every time he asks for one it's "Pee on water". These are the little things that we'll remember forever!
